Irish Gnome Christmas Ornament. Nollaig Shona Dhuit means Merry Christmas in Gaelic (Irish). This ornament is made with a print of original artwork by Kirk Timmons. To wish someone a Merry Christmas in Irish Gaelic, you say: Merry Christmas to you (one person) = Nollaig Shona Dhuit (pronounced a little like Null-eg hunna ditch). My Irish Christmas Gnome is wearing a traditional Irish fisherman sweater, cap, and kilt. He is drinking a Guiness and is surrounded by a Celtic Knot Wreath. The design includes the Claddagh ring which is intended to be given to a loved one. The ring is said to symbolize love, loyalty, and friendship. The wren (bird) is also traditionally associated with Christmas in Ireland. This is a wooden ornament, and the design is duplicated on both sides (front and back).  Includes green, paracord string for hanging and green, white decorative wood beads. I scan my original artwork and than produce a digital prints using pigment-based inks, not dyes, on 60 lb. (acid free, fiber based) archival paper using an Epson P600 printer.  Text and graphic are added using CoralDraw software. The artwork is applied to the solid wood disc using Mod Podge both beneath and over the image. This ornament is produced (scanned, printed, assembled, and packaged) entirely myself.  I try to provide prints that look as much like the original artwork as possible.
