German Gnome Christmas Ornament. Frohe Weihnachten means Merry Christmas in German. Print of original artwork by Kirk Timmons on wooden ornament. Double-sided, same image on both sides of ormament. Frohe Weihnachten is the most common way to say ‘Merry Christmas’ in German. You’ll hear it all the time around the festive season and see it on banners and Christmas decorations at the Christmas markets. Several Christmas traditions originated in Germany. The nutcracker, the gingerbread houses and hearts, the advent calendar, the wreath and more. All are featured in my illustration of this German Christmas Gnome. Includes paracord hanging string and red, green decorative wooden beads. Image is a high quality digital copy of my original drawing. I scan my original artwork and than produce a digital prints using pigment-based inks, not dyes, on 60 lb. (acid free, fiber based) archival paper using an Epson P600 printer. Text and graphic are added using CoralDraw software. The artwork is applied to the solid wood disc using Mod Podge both beneath and over the image. This ornament is produced (scanned, printed, assembled, and packaged) entirely myself. I try to provide prints that look as much like the original artwork as possible.

This ornament is a wood cut out with a sticker on it. The detail of the artwork is great and I do love the print, as it reminds me of Christmas in my home town in Germany. Initially I was kind of disappointed, only because I was expecting something different. I’m not sure what I was expecting. After a few days, admiring it on my Christmas tree, I have fallen in love with it. I am sorry I posted a review in the heat of the moment. I am satisfied with the ornament and would order another one again in the future. Thanks again!
