Proud Tom (Turkey). 10" x 20" Matted print of original artwork by Kirk Timmons. The size represents the outer dimensions of the mat board which is included. The artwork measures 6.5" x 16.5". Barnwood frame is included. Original artwork was done in ink, colored pencil and gouache paint.

This is my illustration of “Proud Tom”, a male domestic turkey, posing for the ladies. He belonged to Mike & Dawn Raymond who raise animals on their 12 acres, 145-year-old farm in Davison, Michigan.

One day, my dog Belle, was with me on a visit to the Raymond Family farm. Belle loved to run around herding chickens, but on this day, she was stopped in her tracks by Tom. His tail feathers burst open, his neck turned bright red and he belted out a deafening Gobble-Gobble-GOBBLE! Poor Belle, tail between her legs, coward off to find the polite and cooperative chickens while proud Tom went back to strutting and prancing for the hens.

All limited-edition prints are signed and include a white mat, backing board and plastic sleeve for their protection. These are high quality digital copies of my original artwork.  I scan my original artwork and produce digital prints using pigment-based inks, not dyes, on 60 lb. (acid free, fiber based) archival paper using an Epson P600 printer.  When you purchase one of my prints of my original artwork, you are buying a product that I produced (scanned, printed, signed, and packaged) entirely myself.  I try to provide prints that look as much like the original artwork as possible.
