Beach Totem (Art Print)

A totem is defined as an object that serves as an emblem or symbol of a family or person and is often a reminder of ancestry. Totems are representations of animals, plants or people and they are usually carved from wood and painted. A totem pole is a pillar of carvings that symbolize memories, family heritage or a significant event.

One summer, I wondered what a “modern” totem pole would look like. How would the subject matter change in our more materialistic society? Since it was summertime, the beach immediately came to mind, so I created a “Beach Totem” to memorialize all my favorite parts of visiting the beaches of the great lakes in the State of Michigan.

All limited-edition prints are signed and include a backing board and plastic sleeve for their protection. These are high quality digital copies of my original artwork.  I scan my original artwork and produce digital prints using pigment-based inks, not dyes, on 60 lb. (acid free, fiber based) archival paper using an Epson P600 printer.  When you purchase one of my prints of my original artwork, you are buying a product that I produced (scanned, printed, signed, and packaged) entirely myself.  I try to provide prints that look as much like the original artwork as possible.
